About Me
My name is Kirill Obraztsov and I have been a passionate gamer since early childhood. I would spend hours a day playing Starcraft with my dad. I would go on from RTS games to enjoying single-player games with fantastic storylines as well as fast-paced shooters. My true passion for gaming developed when I discovered sandbox and building games like G-mod, Robocraft, Crossout, and Drone The game.
I spent hours just making things and testing the most optimal options. I quickly learned about how some game components were incredibly strong or sometimes useless. this of course was a bit annoying, especially if I did not like playing that "Meta".
When I discovered indie games like Drone the Game and saw they had a beta/alpha testing community and Discord, I immediately jumped right in. I loved the idea of helping a game develop. I felt honed to be able to communicate with the devs, share my feedback, and test things for them. It felt awesome to be a part of creating a game that I loved and making sure all aspects of it were fun.
I spent years trying niche strategies to find exploits and designs that would seem broken or overpowered so that I could communicate my findings. I would think of ways to counter those things whether through different gameplay styles or balancing options and tests.

Over the years, I gained experience in good and bad ways to balance game aspects. I discovered the many ways other players would try to circumvent intended gameplay. I would also learn to seek out broken arias in maps that could get one stuck or get into arias they shouldn't. I loved the prospect of documenting, recreating, and reporting these things to the devs so they could fix them.
Recently I tried my hand at developing games myself. I installed Unreal Engine 5 and jumped straight into the Epic Gamejam 2023 with no experience and to others who were also just starting out. It was an intense experience where I found myself working 10 hours a day. I never worked so hard and with such passion in my life, and I absolutely loved it.
After the gamejam, a dear friend challenged me to make a game from scratch and to do so in a week or so. This felt like I was biting off more than I could chew because I didn't even touch blueprints at that point as my main focus was creating the VFX, sound, and the level design. During the gamejam, I had no issues taking the lead with development decisions as I was confident in my ability to push a game in the right direction. However, working on blueprints and doing the programming seemed way out of my scope.
This however did not stop me. I accepted and dove straight into learning the blueprint system. I enjoyed that it was not just staring at lines of code or learning a new language. I liked the hands-on approach Unreal Engine offered to programming. It felt like I was plugging cables into a modular synthesizer.
There were a lot of challenges, but I stuck to it and completed the task at hand. The game I created was the UwU Breaker game that is on this website.
My next challenge is to dive into level design and learn how to make fun and engaging levels that are challenging and aesthetically pleasing. I am passionate about making something that is free from glitches, bad terrain, and exploits.
As you can tell, I have an interest in the vase elements of game design and I work hard to learn as much as I can. Every obstacle I face is an exciting challenge for me to overcome and I always do my best to achieve success. I will be a great asset to anyone who gives me a chance to work with them on whatever the project is.
